Certified Building Pads
We deliver building pad excavation Phoenix builders rely on - engineered pads on a wide range of soils and slopes, from flat valley lots to steep hillside cuts.
How We Approach building pad excavation Phoenix
First, we size, grade and compact every pad to your engineer's spec. Then we verify elevation and slope before we hand it off. As a result, the certification paperwork lines up the first time. We coordinate directly with your soils engineer and structural team from day one. We've cut pads on flat valley lots, rocky desert parcels and steep North Phoenix hillsides. So we know what each soil type requires before the bucket hits the ground. That field experience also lets us flag drainage or retaining issues during the bid - not after the foundation crew shows up.
However, when the lot is tight, sloped or surrounded by existing improvements, we plan the cut, haul and access route up front. In short, that keeps surprises - and change orders - off the project. We'd rather spend an extra hour walking the site at bid time than burn a day later fixing what we should have seen coming.

Certified Building Pads FAQs
What does a 'certified' building pad mean?+
It means the pad has been built and tested to a soils engineer's specification - proper subgrade, fill material, lift thickness and compaction percentage - and documented so the city or county will accept it for permit.
Can you work on hillside or sloped lots?+
Yes - that's our specialty. Andy's mining-construction background means we're comfortable with cut-and-fill on steep grades, retaining work, and tight access.
Do you handle the soils testing?+
We coordinate directly with your soils engineer (or refer one if you don't have one). They handle the testing; we handle hitting the spec.
How long does a pad take?+
A straightforward residential pad usually takes 1–3 days. Hillside cuts, large fills, or sites needing significant drainage work can take a week or more.
Will you bring fill material?+
Yes - if the cut doesn't yield enough native material, we'll source and haul in engineered fill that matches your spec.
